What can you request?
You can request the status of your ongoing case, information about the expected processing time, confirmation that submitted documents have been received, and notice of what may be missing for a decision to be made. You can also ask for a copy of the correspondence in your case.
However, you cannot request an advance ruling on how the authority will decide, or see the case officer’s internal assessments before the decision is made.
How Insyna helps you
Chydenius helps you write a factual and clear follow-up to the Social Insurance Agency’s customer centre. A friendly reminder can help move a case forward without making unreasonable demands.

Send it and await a reply
The request is sent; you can also request your case file and the decisions taken.

Frequently asked questions
Can I find out when my decision will come?
You have the right to ask about the expected processing time and status. The authority can rarely give an exact date, however — only an estimate.
Can I speed up the processing?
You cannot demand that the case be prioritised, but a clear follow-up reminds them of the case. If processing is unreasonably delayed, you can escalate the case.
How often can I follow up without it seeming like I am pressuring them?
A polite, factual follow-up every few weeks on a case that has stalled beyond its normal processing time is reasonable and does not count as pressuring — case officers generally expect and welcome a clear status request.
What if Försäkringskassan asks for the same documents again?
You can point out in your follow-up that the documents were already submitted on a given date, and ask them to confirm receipt — this often prevents unnecessary delays caused by lost or unlinked attachments.
The email we send
This is the actual email Chydenius writes and sends to the authority for you — in correct Swedish, anonymously (never in your name), always asking for a reply by email. You don’t need to write Swedish yourself.
