What can you request and do?
You can request your own population registration data and public data about other people, such as name, address and marital status. You can also get help writing about a name change with the Swedish Tax Agency and get answers in your own name-change case.
Information about people with protected registration or a confidentiality marker is not released. Passport applications are made at the Police and national ID cards at the Tax Agency — both require a personal visit with an appointment.

Frequently asked questions
Can I request someone else’s address?
Often yes — name, address and marital status are generally public population registration data. The exception is people with protected registration or a confidentiality marker.
Can I apply for a passport through Insyna?
No. Passports and national ID cards require a personal visit to the Police and the Tax Agency respectively. Insyna can help with questions about the process, but cannot replace the visit.
Can I request population data about myself only, or about others too?
Both — you can request your own registration details, and you can also request public registration data about other people, such as their registered name, address and marital status, unless they have protected registration.
How do I book an appointment for a passport or ID card?
Appointments for a passport are booked with the Police and for a national ID card with the Tax Agency, usually through their respective websites — Insyna can explain the requirements but cannot book the appointment or replace the in-person visit.
